The relative frequency is the observed number of successful events for a finite sample of trials. Relative frequency is the observed proportion of successful events.

but how do you calculate the percentage of what you observed.

um.. for example, if you were to pick an ace from a stack of 52 cards the chances would be 4/52, which simplifys to 1/13
