Its not math.. but i would appreciate help (: Which of the following describes resistance force? A. force applied to the machine B. force used by the machine C. force lost by the machine D. force applied by the machine to overcome resistance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C, usually ressistance slows the force being applied, but I may be wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm alright, whats your arguement for B bracket?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops! sorry its C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha alrighty then :D C it is!! ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here is another one, wanna help? (: Suppose you use a machine that gives you a mechanical advantage of 2 to achieve an output force of 30 Newtons. What must the input force be? A. 15 N B. 20 N C. 40 N D. 60 N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not sure abuit this one - if a machine is pushing against friction then friction is applied to machine so it might be B ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i meant A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't even know how to find the answer >.< I am retaking stuff from the beginning of the year ;P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Here is another one, wanna help? (: Suppose you use a machine that gives you a mechanical advantage of 2 to achieve an output force of 30 Newtons. What must the input force be? A. 15 N B. 20 N C. 40 N D. 60 N" I think you need to try to understand what's going on instead of just asking for answers... honestly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha A it is (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then wanna explain how to do it? You prolly did yesterday, but i would like it if you could explain again . (: I wanna learn, i do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

garret the answer 20 ur question is 30/2 = 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh so thats how you solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mechanical advantage = input / output force

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, alright thanks!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not asking the question... just quoting. Anyway, be creepy.. Do you have notes on what "Mechanical Advantage" is? You should start there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm an idiot! mechanical advantage = output/input 2 = 30/input so input = 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, i do not have notes, retaking things from the beginning of the year... so no i, sadly, don't >;( And Haha thanks jimmy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw - sometimes i get dyslexic.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha don't we all?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ko - I mean ok!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;D hahahaha
