How will you justify that ice, water and steam are the three states of a substance and not different substances ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go few questions down ......same question with answer is there......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(? & ? \ ? & ?)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They are reversibly interconverted by changing the conditions - and are composed of the same elements, in the same proportions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the 3 states of matter as far as water is concerned....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just say that they show the 3 states of water in all states of matter... besides plasma

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The individual water molecules in ice, liquid water, and steam are all identical. The molecular shape, physical and chemical properties of the H2O molecules do not differ from state to state.

OpenStudy (matthewrlee):

I've never had to justify it. No one has ever accused me of not knowing the difference between water, ice, and steam. I think you're hanging out with the wrong crowd.
