What is the difference between prokaryotes and eukaryotes?
prekaroyotes don't have core membrane but eukaryotes have core membrane!
Prokaryotes compares to eukaryotes don't have an organized nucleus or membrane bound cell organelles(other than ribosomes). Prokaryotes are mostly single celled while eukaryotes have group of cells working together.
the defining feature that sets a prokaryote apart from the eukaryote is that the prokaryote lacks a NUCLEUS. it only has a nucleoid ^_^
a prokaryote is generally small whereas eukaryote is generally large in prokaryote nuclear region is poorly defined due to absence of nuclear envelope known as nucleoid whereas in eukaryote nuclear region is well defined and surrounded by a nuclear membrane prokaryote has a single chromosome whereas eukaryote has more than one chromosome in prokaryotes membrane bound organelles are absent whereas in eukaryotes membrane bound organelles are present
