use a graph to find the following f(o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(0)=

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

do you mean f(x) = 0 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

oh wait nevermind, you have to use the graph and find the corresponding y-value to x=0

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

where does the line cross the y-axis ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.. I am not understanding graphing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

good, this is called the y-intercept because its where it intersects the y-axis that point is (0,3) x=0 y=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the domain is {x/ ? }

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

for a function, f(x) x is always inside the parenthesis so f(0) means x=0, go to graph and follow the line until the x value is 0 or in this case its the y-axis

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

domain is all possible x-values, i cant tell you without the graph is it a straight line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

/\/\/\/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was able to answer all the other questions graphing is driving me crazy

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

a graph is just like a map, the x-values tell you where you are left/right or east/west, y-values tell you where you are up/down or north/south a line is just a bunch of points grouped together any way you can describe the function or attach the graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says use a graph. I'm sure that there is a graph that belongs to that function. So technically look at the graph and check which point intersect (0,?) and you got your answer to f(0)=?
