what are the factors that led to the rise of the nazi party in Germany?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After the defeat of Germany in WW1, the allies imposed upon Germany the entire war debt which made their dollar devalue immensely this also caused unemployment to sky rocket, also some people thought the high command had sold them out [Germany surrendered while still in france and had not been punished out of france, so why did they surrender?], this made for a disillusioned populace that was looking for anyone to do anything, and the Nazi's stepped up.

Funny enough the Nazi's did solve unemployment and gave the populace back it's "pride" in Germany, before the outbreak of hostilities.

Hitler was a great speaker, with the power to make people support him. The moderate political parties would not work together, although together they had more support than the Nazis. The depression of 1929 created poverty and unemployment, which made people angry with the Weimar government. People lost confidence in the democratic system and turned towards the extremist political parties such as the Communists and Nazis during the depression. The Nazi storm troopers attacked Hitler's opponents. Goebbels' propaganda campaign was very effective and it won support for the Nazis. The Nazis targeted specific groups of society with different slogans and policies to win their support. Hitler was given power in a seedy political deal by Hindenburg and Papen who foolishly thought they could control him. German people were still angry about the Treaty of Versailles and supported Hitler because he promised to overturn it. Industrialists gave Hitler money and support.

Hitler had no religion, he was powerful and forced and threatened people to vote for him. He disliked jews most likely because of christ our savior.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He prosecuted Jews because he was Anti semitic therefore hated Jews, he also thought that the Jews were the source of Germany's problems such as the loss in WW1 which fuelled his antisemitism; as at the time Jews were a easy group to blame. Not "He disliked jews most likely because of christ our savior." Furthermore this question has nothing to do with Jews, but i thought i would clarify :)

Actually Hitler was a Christian by the way. He worshiped a German looking christ.
