Since time is relative and its passage is affected by the distance from the gravitational centre and speed, would it pass EXTREMELY fast near the black hole? Is it possible to even approximately calculate this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, time passes extremely slowly near a black hole. Look up time dilation to find out about calculating by how much.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, well, this actually makes sense. The black hole has massive gravity, so the time passes much, much slower from the perspective of the distant observer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, you got it :)
