i have good vocabulary.. but when it comes to speak, i fumble in selecting the right word.. often in the conflict that what will suit best.. dont know how to overcome this.please help.

Consult a good thesaurus. It grades words according to level of intensity and various uses. Try reading novels of diverse authors like Paulo Coelho, George Orwell, Jane Austen etc.

Roget's thesaurus is the best (I use it). Merriam Webster's thesaurus is also good.

you should have confidence..even if you dont know the correct word to use, just speak it out..eventhough the others will laugh at you, but you will learn from your previous mistake..

Another method is to prepare yourself on a topic already decided with your family or friends. Then speak out your views to them and take questions from them on the topic ans answer. Slowly your confidence will grow and your tongue and mind get synchronised. Right now they r not synchronised and hence even though u have the words, they do not come to mind when required....
