its asking me to find the solution for the last two

using the quadratic equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

iive already work out the problem i just need someone to do it so i can see what they get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you use the quadratic equation though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the 2nd to last = -5 (+or -) squareroot(121)/-24 so x = -1/4 or x = 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last one 6(+or -) squareroot(108)/16 x = (1+root3)/3 or x = (1-root3)/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

a=1 b=3 c=3 no solutions to the discriminant as it is negative ( what level maths are you at) therefore there is no solution
