Find the roots of x^2-x=6 algebraically, please explain.

(x-3)(x+2)
Ok so (x-3)(x+2)=0
yeah
x = 3 or x = -2
ok 1st you find two numbers which you can multiply and get 6...which are 6 and 1 ...3and 2....but you must find numbers which when subtracted you will get -1...from -x...so its 3 and 2 but the 3 must be negative.
