let's see if i have this right... commutative is a+b=b+a... distributitive is (a+b)+c=a+(b+c) and distribuative is a(bc)=ab*ac right?

commutative changes places associative regroups items and distributive is just multiplying thru the (...)
distributive is just: a(b+c) b +c a ------- ba + ca
a(bc) is not distributive
2(3*4) = 24 2(3) * 2(4) = 48 .... so it is not the same

i spose the proper definition for distributive is that multiplication is distributive over addition or some such
