Nevermind the AC method, different problem, lol, I factored it.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Are you factoring or solving for x?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
factoring
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then (x-3)(x-5) is your answer
You find the two numbers that when multiplied = 15 but when added = 8, 3 & 5.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
8 is negative and 15 is positive so both of your numbers have to be negative. negative times negative = positive and negative plus negative is negative. Get it?
