OpenStudy (niel):

how do i find a specific heat of a metal? i know water is 4.18 but it does not clearly state why it works.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The specific heat capacity of any substance is the amount of energy required (Joules) to raise one kg of it by one degree K. It is found by an experimental procedure called calorimetry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Finf the heat, mass and change in temperature the solve for c -specific heat \[Q =cm \Delta T \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[c = Q /(m \Delta T) \]
