What are some good Complex Analysis, Real Analysis, Number Theory, Topology, Modern Algebra, Abstract Algebra, etc. Text books?
topology: munkres if you can stomach topology
complex i think alfphors is the standard bearer
real analysis try rudin http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/007054235X/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=0070542341&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0ARCJMZ6GJYK8CF0CWXG baby rudin, not "real and complex" at least not to sart
what kind of algebra? good basic one is herstein. "topics in algebra" i think it is called
Also, Bartle for Real Analysis, Gallian for Algebra are pretty good.
but i would go to the library and get lots. easy ones with easy examples.
Bartle yes for sure. lots of good examples as i remember
If you haven't had number theory before, A Friendly Introduction to Number Theory by Silverman is a really good book.
elementary number theory i think there is an easy book by underwood dudley that assumes nothing.
also elementery number theory by Alan A Jones
Thanks guys. Let me know if you come across anymore :D I have Cartan's complex book but its a bit too intense for me at the moment. And of course I have Spivak's calculus on manifolds but that is brain numbing lol.
i'm interested in a topology primer - i'm an econ student wanting to get into dynamic analysis
