how do you prove the Pythagoras theorem by using areas?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Area = 0.5 x b x h

If you draw a square with each side of a right triangle as its base, then calculate the area of each of these squares, since the area of a square is the square of its side, you'd see that: a^2=b^c+c^2 Which is the Pythagorean theorem.
