another random question....when a function is F(x) instead of f(x) does that impart any special meaning? My problem is to find the derivative of F(x)=sqrt(pi+sin inverse (x))

OpenStudy (somethingawesome):

Nope -- sometimes F(x) is used to imply that it's the antiderivative of the function f(x), but even then, it's just notation and doesn't *actually* mean anything beyond "this is a function that I'm calling F with x as a variable."

awesome. gracias =D
