anyone good with slope? (attachment below)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

point (0,-2) slope 9 line is (y+2)/x = 9 9x-y-2=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now plug in any x and get y to get ur point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so ?? lol uhm ? go up 9 ? and to the right 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wht>?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk lol whats the answer? and then explain how u got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-1,7) or (1, -11) would both work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see its slope intercept form

Line's equation is y=ax+b You know that a=-9 (slope) (x,y)=(0,-2) x=0, y=-2 Put it in equation to find b: -2=-9*0+b b=-2 Now you can write this line's equation: y=-9x-2 Now you can get any other point to this line, just put any other x in equation. For example x=1, then y=-9*1-2=-11 So you get another point x=1, y=-11 or (1,-11)
