Scott has to choose a combination for his locker. the combincation must have 3 numbers, the first and third numbers have to be numbers from 1 to 10. the second number has to be a number from 0 to 2 fidnt he total of combinations scott could choose <3

Imagine the combination as a number with 3 spaces, and you need to fill the spaces with the appropriate digits. _ _ _ For the 1st place you can chose any number from 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 so there are a total of 10 choices. Similarly for the 3rd place. For the 2nd place, you can chose any number from 0, 1, 2 so you have three choices for it. So the total number of combinations possible for the lock are: \[10\times3\times10 = 300\]
