I JUST NEED A QUICK EXPLANATION! The equation is "Find the remaining parts of the triangle with B=50deg, b = 5, c = 6. Then you do the law of sine, so sin50deg/5 = sin(c)/6 which turns into sin(c) = 6/5sin50 which equals 0.9193. HOW DOES THIS CHANGE TO 66.82 degrees?!?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

arc sin(6/5sin50) is 66.82

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's mean c not sin(c)

Can you explain arc sin? This is the example in the book and it just converted .9193 into66.82 degrees without any explanation!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

arc sin is the inverse of sinc which the function is to get c

from your calculator the symbol is sin^-1

Alright, thanks!
