I have a question about ineqaluties with absolute value. My question is this: l5-3xl>9 I know I'm supposed to split the two inequalities with a negative nine and positive nine but then confused for the rest. Help please!

Okay, so I can help you with this. Let's imagine for a moment, that we do not have the absolute value. Then we have: 5 - 3x > +9 5 - 3x > -9 By subtracting 5 from both sides, we have: -3x > 4 -3x > -14 If we divide both sides by -3, then we have to change the sign. x < -4/3 x < -14/3 If this helps, please leave a medal, and visit my website at http://www.tutorsean.net for free math videos.
