the third one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the third one the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2) 5x3 + 11x2 - 2x - 8

OpenStudy (gw2011):

raheen is correct--the answer is the second one: 5x^3+11x^2-2x-8 You can solve this by multiplying (5x^2+x-4) by x which is in (x+2) Then multiply (5x^2+x-4) by 2 which is in (x+2) Then combine all like terms and you will get 5x^3+11x^2-2x-8

thanks for you.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

the second is right

Rather than FOIL, you should make it a habit to refer to this method as an application of the "Distributive Law" or "Distributive Property".
