I've got a sigma notation question - can someone answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

evaluate: the sum as K goes from 4 to 7 of root(2k-1) i got root7+root11+root13+3.....correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sum_{k=4}^{7}\sqrt{2k-1}\]

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

That's the right answer, but the term 3 should be after root 7, but that's trivial since you can add in any order.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah - i got it after root 7, just moved it to the end to keep like terms collected.....but it's right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, that looks solid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys
