Can somebody explain how to find an estimation of a square root, this book is so confusing...
example, square root of 89 well, where's the closest two perfect squares? 81 is one of them, 100 is the other one. They are 9^2 and 10^2, respectively. Which one is 89 closer too? It's closer to 81 obviously. 89 isn't half way between 81 and 100, so you know that square root of 89 is less than 9.5. From there you take an educated guess.
i like that way the most but there are other sophisticated ways what way can we use to do estimation?
that way she explained it but whats the other way?
calculus ways like linear approximation or newton's method
dang sounds super hard! never learned any of that yet! schools out here in AZ are wack! & don't teach you everything you need to know about math,,
what math class are you in?
i live in arkansas and i'm pretty sure are schools suck worse
but what do i know i never lived in AZ
i failed freshamn year, so im doing my algebra stuff.. & im sure they're better then out here.. same here though.
well those ways i mentioned are calculus so you won't learned them in algebra
even senior year i didn't learn about it, only honor roll students do..
in high school?
