This needs to be tackled systematically. U are told the numbers are in (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9). And u r told that (a+d+1, b+e+1, c+f) each add up to exactly 10 (0 carry 1). So c+f has to be (1+9,2+8,3+7,4+6) etc.. And u can do similar for other pairs. Finally u can use information that the 2 numbers add to exactly 1000.
