Yeah I do Sorry Guys I have always had a hard time in Math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyways Cindy... algebra is about doing the opposite.
If something's x-4=10, to isolate the x, you need to add 4 to both sides, because adding is the opposite of subtracting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiplying is the opposite of dividing

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

haha @meme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you don't see a sign in front of the number, like 5, then it's automatically a plus (so you would subtract)

3x+4=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Work from the outside in- get to the term with the the variable last.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, since 4 is positive, you subtract. Subtract a four from 9.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait 19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5
