..can someone please help me with 4C and 4D on the first page?? n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone please help!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what coordinates did you get for A'B'C' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didnt..i didnt understand it so i posted it on here...hoping u guys would help...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You asked for help with 4C and 4D. did you do 4A ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did you get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i got A' (-7,-3) B' (-3,-3) C' (-3,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 4B - point reflection in the origin, I assume they mean a 180 degree rotation around the origin of each of the triangle's points. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_reflection

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, A(-3,-7) --> A'(3,7) B(-3,-3) --> B'(3,3) C( 0,-3) --> C'(0,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for B)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that part B or part C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the above is for 4B - where they ask about A'B'C'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, but i need help with part C and Part D..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for part C, we should first have a diagram of part B. Can you draw it with the draw tool ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont have that...but i didnt it on my graph paper, and it comes like a right triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*dd it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*did it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we will want to create a mirror image of the triangle A'B'C' using the horizontal line y=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i got that part...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would be the coordinates?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what did coordinates did you get for A'', B'', C'' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got A'' (3,-3) B'' (3,1) C'' ( 0,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you use these coordinates A'(3,7) B'(3,3) C'(0,3) To calculate A''B''C'' ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i used the A'B'C' and i did y = 2 and reflected over it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyway, i'll just ask my teacher tommorow..thanks for helping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just making sure we have the same coordinates for A'B'C' . A'(3,7) B'(3,3) C'(0,3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK, A'(3,7) --> A''(3,-3) B'(3,3) --> B''(3,1) C'(0,3)--> C''(0,1) That's what you got, right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for 4D T(-8,2): A''(3,-3) -->A'''(-5,-1) B''(3,1) -->B'''(-5,3) C''(0,1) -->C'''(-8,3)
