Experimental Uncertainty formatting question: How do you write 27.300 +/- 1.49 cm^2 in "standard form" ?

Any ideas?

I assume this should read:\[(27.300 \pm 1.49) cm^2\] ??? Please either use brackets or make sure to use the unit for every quantity (27.300 could also be dm², m², etc.. in this example) The "standard" way to write this would be: \[27.3 cm² \pm 1.5 cm²\]Note that I am from Austria and this is according to DIN 1333 - "Presentation of Numerical Data". If you are from the U.S., this might not apply, cause.. well - they don't even have the SI-System, so I have no idea, what they made up for this.
