???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My question shows an angle, called ABC, that I tried to draw, and it wants me to give three different names for it... I can only think of two... ABC, CBA....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The name of a plane figure, such as a triangle, can be written in a number of ways, just as long as they reflect the order of the the points. So ABC, ABC, and CBA are examples.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*ABC, ABC, CBA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you were working with a quadrilateral, for instance, it would be important for the order of the letters to reflect the sequence they are in as you go around the figure in the given figure starting at a letter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A, CBA, ABC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I think I have it now... the three names I came up with were angle ABC, angle CBa, and angle B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B?? right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just checking if you were following :) Actually a typo..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B,CBA, ABC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you had quadrilateral like the one I am about to draw, you wouldn't want to call it ACBD for instance. That isn't a problem when naming a triangle though because there are only three vertices.

absolutely correct ^^^^
