Suppose you are solving a quadratic equation with no constant term (c = 0). Would you use factoring or the quadratic formula to solve? Why?

i answered this one a few minutes ago

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dele.. by acci....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i think i would use factoring :) because if there is no constant values then the only thing you can do is simply it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes they will always factor - eg x^2 - 6x = 0 x(x-6) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i don't believe that you will always have 1 result :D there can be n(depends on equation) posibilities that x can be if there is no const :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one root will always x=0 and also another root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i was trying to say
