OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you create a velocity time graph when you are starting somewhere other than the origin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graphic's origin dont have to be where the motion start. Velocity time graph's origin tells us when it starts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if the y axis is m/s and the x axis is seconds how do i move the origin behind by 6 meters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is not position in v-t graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question states on a velocity time graph and a particle starting 6m behind the origin and travels at 7m/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your motion starts when t=0 and the velocity=7m/s but behind 6 meters ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right i understand the concept but dont understand how to graph that. meters is neither the x or y axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 meters would be on a position graph but not a velocity graph so it is confusing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1315539362686:dw| your graph should be like that. the position is not important for v-t graph
