Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the distance, to the nearest tenth, between F(9,5) and G(-2,2).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the "9" from F is right on the x -axis 9 places and the "-2" from the G is left 2 places. so a total distance apart of 11. the "5" in F is up 5 places on the y-axis and the "2" in G is up 2 places on the y-axis so a total distance apart of 3. so the "sides" are 11 and 3. so the missing side = 11^2 + 3^2 \[\sqrt{130}\]
