one of the factors of 3x^2 + x is...

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

x(3x + 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=0, x=-1/3

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

LOL, it says factors btw not solving it xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mimi how did you find that out. i had another one ...x^2 +9x +20...that one was easy to me ...i figured it was (x+5) (x+4)

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

Um, idk how to explain, sorry, its common sense anyway xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx tho i was just tryin to figure out what we are looking for in that problem..like..what is the goal? to get x alone...or to come up with a factor in parenthesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n/m i think i got it anyways

OpenStudy (aroub):

x is the common factor.. so u put out x( ) now you divide the x by the numbers inside the bracket (3x^2 + x ) so it will become x(3x+1) / do you get it somehow??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i get it thank you
