√x+3=-7

What's the question?

Nevermind I just figured out there is no solution. Thanks

if the square root is covering (x+3), you would first square both sides like so: (x+3)^(1/2) = -7 to get rid of the 1/2 power (square root), square both sides x+3 = 49 this is now workable, subtract three from both sides. x = 46 if the square root is solely covering the x, the problem is solved: (x)^(1/2) + 3 = -7 first subtract 3 (x)^(1/2) = -10 now square both sides to eliminate the 1/2 power x = 100
