Whats ATP??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and how do our bodies make it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

adenosine triphosphate ATP releases energy when it is broken down into ADP by hydrolysis during cell metabolism.

There are different ways that our body makes ATP. It is made through the process of metabolising sugars through Glycolysis, the Krebs Cycle and the Electron Transport Chain. And as TacoBellMan said ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is basically "fuel" or "energy" that our body uses up for bodily functions. It is created when a phosphate and ADP (adenosine diphosphate) is joined together by an enzyme called ATP synthase.

This is only a simplified version though. If you really needed to go more in depth I suggest you search up the process of Glycolysis, Krebs Cycle and the Electron Transport Chain.
