how do you know the direction of the of the radius in a circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is the half way point from the center of the circle; clock wise

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't even know that the radius of the circle had a direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol @ satellite. Okay well for example there are four points. (-2,4), (0,2),(-4,2), (-2,0). I know how to write the equation but I have a hard time figuring out where to place the radius in the picture.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

matter of fact idk the radius for this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its 1. I figured that out by moving one right then up one then one right but I have a feeling ths is wrong.

OpenStudy (precal):

The center of your circle is (-2, 2). The definition of a radius is the distance from the center to any point on the circumference of the circle. So basically, from the center to any one of those points. Your radius measurement is 2 units. Angles have directions but radius does not.
