Give an example of why division is not commutative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{1}{2} \ne \frac{2}{1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6/2 != 2/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really? the last THREE examples didn't provide you with enough information to do this problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

commutative just means "order doesn't matter" when doing something. Clearly order matters in division, because a divided by b does not equal b divided by a (except where a=b).
