what property is 1x=6?

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

not sure what you mean by what property... under what topic is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is mulplicative identity property that says that 1 multiplied by any number is the number itself hence 1x=6,x=6

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

i could say that's the identity property of multiplication but I'm not clear about ur question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distributive prop, commutative prop, associative, or multiplicative inverse prop?

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

meh, i was being dumb lol, the 1 in front of the x changes nothing about the question lol :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jurneelynn it should be multiplicative identity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would it be if it was x=6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it was be multilicative identity also

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (sasogeek):

just as kushashwa said, but just so u know, any variable without a coefficient greater than 1 has a coefficient of 1. so.... eg. x=1x 2x=2x x=5 => 1x=5 and so on and so forth :) hope it helped
