what is hemoglobin and its function
Hemoglobin is the protein found in red blood cells to transport oxygen and carbon dioxide around our body.
It has four "heme" groups, meaning they carry iron, thus the name hemoglobin
its a red pigment found in red blood cells which combines in oxygen and carry it to all body cells . :)
haemoglobin doesn't transport carbondioxide, carbon dioxide is persent in plasma in form of bicarbonate ions
Hemoglobin is a protein in your red blood cells that carries oxygen to your body's organs and tissues and transports carbon dioxide from your organs and tissues back to your lungs, hemoglobin pigment is what makes your blood red.
yep right
Isn't that while most of the carbon dioxide are present in blood plasma as bicarbonate ions, some of them combine with hemoglobin to form carbaminohemoglobin (about 10%) ?
