How do I find the slope using y2-y1/x2-x1 for this graph (see attached photo)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have to incorporate all 3 points into the equation :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YOU ONLY NEED 2 POINTS FOR THE SLOPE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But the assignment is requiring all 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does it say exactly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the slope using the slope formula for the points (2,12)(10,29)(18,46) Hint: Use all three points in a single formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry dude, i never heard of finding the slope with 3 points, only 2, makes no sense to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for trying

It doesn't math which of the 3 points you use because these 3 points are all on the same line. You can any 2 and use them to find the slope of the line.\[(29-12/10-2) = (46-29/18-10) = (46-12/18-2)\] All of these give you 17/8 which is your slope.

46-12/18-2 = 34/10?
