I'm supposed to use the point and the slope to find three additional points through which the line passes. I have point; (2,1) & Slope; m=0. Not a clue on how to do this!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A slope of 0 is just a horizontal line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the slope is 0, the the y-value is constant. All your points are (x,1).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, what if is the slope is undefined then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it s a vertical line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! Thank youu(:

Rise/Run If you rise 0 and run any number (horizontal line), the slope will always be 0 because you have a 0 in the numerator. (0/x) If you rise any number and run 0 (vertical line), the slope will be undefined because you have 0 in the denominator. (x/0)
