Complete the following table: n | (1+1/n)^n ---------------------- 10 | 100 | 1000 | 10,000 | 100,000 | What happens as n gets larger and larger? Recognize this number? What is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/n goes to zero as you divide by infinitely large numbers. Thus, 1^N = 1. The rest you can figure out with a calculator.

can you please explain more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/ big number = 0 So, as n gets larger and larger, (1 + 1/n)^n approaches (1+0)^n = 1
