Hey, what is chemiosmosis ?

OpenStudy (preetha):

I got this from Wikipedia, sounds reasonable. Chemiosmosis is the movement of ions across a selectively permeable membrane, down their electrochemical gradient. More specifically, it relates to the generation of ATP by the movement of hydrogen ions across a membrane during cellular respiration. So it is not plain osmosis, but it requires energy and is going through a selectively permeable membrane. Are you comfortable with the concept of Osmosis?

not that much
