OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

What is the most commonly occurring single digit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm - I don't know about that... you could just grep over some huge files for yourself? My guess would be '0' though... However - there is "Benford's law" (not exactly what you're looking for...) - just google it...

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

yeah that is kinda what was asking, but Benford restricts his domain to the leading digit, i was kinda expecting the most common digit to be a 1 or 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, there always are an infinite number of leading zeros, so.. :P

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

infinity multiplicative 1 s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried googling it - what i got was that the most commonly occurring digit between 0 and 1000 is 1

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

but there is only 10 digits between 0 and 1000
