Infinity is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is a Limit? A limit is a fixed number to which the function approaches as x approaches some number. And infinity is not a number it is an expression to denote large numbers. So usually the answer to these kind of questions is reported as infinity. But the actual answer, according to the definition taught at undergraduate level , should be that the limit doesn't exist.
