can someone please help me? i got the answer 15000 but im not sure if its right. here is the problem http://s1135.photobucket.com/albums/m638/SkyLUVSpandas/

OpenStudy (amistre64):

15m^2 = x cm^2; that one i assume

OpenStudy (amistre64):

are there 100 centimeters in a meter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then if we are making a square; 1500*1500 cm^2 matches 15*15 m^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1m = 100cm, 1m^2 = 100^2 cm ^2 = 10,000 cm^2 15m^2 = 15,000 cm^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thanks.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

..... i might have ot rethink that tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep, it's right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you're converting units to something squared, do the same thing to the number as you did to the unit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so say you're trying to figure centimeters cubed from meters cubed, you'd take 100 and cube it as well (teh conversion)
