Differentiate function v(r)= (4/3)(pie)(r^3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can take out 4/3*pi as a constant then just take the derivaitve of r^3. Dont forget to multiply back in the 4/3*pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes so 4/3(pi) r^3 becomes (4pi/3)(3)<--"from the exponent" equals 4pi and the r^3 becomes r^2. final answer is 4(pi)r^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay that makes sense, i was having trouble making sense of what to do with the pie.

since its just a number it does what any other number does, its tricky because it looks different
