What is the value of y if x = -0.6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure. None of the points are plotted at -0.6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the choice are: A. -3 B. -2 C. 0 D. 3 If that helps...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would guess 0 since those dots could be off a little

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops -3. Im not thinking straight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I couldn't be more help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay at least you responded whilst others didnt help at all :) I have more question too if you dont mind helping more...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure. I'll try them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Graph f(x) = [x] over the domain 3 ≤ x ≤ 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other questions have too many graphs that you wont be able to see so I guess that's my last question for now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. So you have to start by knowing that inequalities are graphed on number lines. So you would make a number line that goes from 0-8. Then draw a dot on 3 and 6 and make the line between them thicker to show those numbers work also. If the inequality was < and > instead of less than or equal too, then the dots wouldn't be filled in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks! I became a fan of yours so I can message you next time I need help. I hope you don't mind. You're just really smart in math and your explanations are easy to understand!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't mind at all. I'm here to help. Thank you for the compliment
