OpenStudy (zarkon):
that depends on what calculator you have
myininaya (myininaya):
oh wow i just looked at my calculator i didn't know you could do that lol
OpenStudy (zarkon):
for a ti83/84 use ...
nderiv(f(x),x,a)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you don't have to teach now; just show the buttons
OpenStudy (zarkon):
gives f'(a)

Any graphing calc, it really doesn't matter.
myininaya (myininaya):
well i graphed it when to calc and seen dy/dx
and figure that would be the way to go if i wanted to evaluate f' at such and such
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Zarkon, I'm confused, what did you post?
myininaya (myininaya):
went to calc*

you can also go to graph enter function go to calc and go to dy/dx
OpenStudy (zarkon):
you can...but I think the point you want to take the derivative at has to be on the screen
myininaya (myininaya):
oh so you have to play with window if the point is outside the window
OpenStudy (zarkon):
yes
OpenStudy (zarkon):
it gives an error if you put in a value that is outside the window
