(6/x+2)+4/(8/x+2)-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you divide by a fraction, you can get rid of it by flipping it and mulitplying. 4/(8/x+2)=4(x+2)/8

OpenStudy (nubeer):

i dont think there is any equal sign in thsi equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know that but this is complex fractions; i got majority of the problem solved , i'm just stuck where i'm at; i'm trying to follow my book, like my teacher/professor wants.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so from 6/(x+2) + (x+2)/2 - 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12/2(x+2) + (x+2)^2/2(x+2) - 8(x+2)/2(x+2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(12+(x+2)^2-8x-16)/2(x+2)

OpenStudy (nubeer):

(6/x+2 )+4(8/x+2) -4 (6/x+2) +(x+2/2) -4 taking l.c.m 6(2) +(x+2)(x+2) -4(2(x+2)) / 2(x+2) x^2+ 4x / 2(x+2) x(x+2)/2(x+2) x/2
