what does cDNA and CDNA stand for?what is the difference between the 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cDNA (cloned or complementary DNA) is made from the mRNA in a cell using the enzyme reverse transcriptase. Using reverse transcriptase on the all the mRNA in a cell gives you a cDNA library. Not sure about CDNA but it could stand for chloroplast DNA? Both chloroplasts and mitochondria have small amounts of DNA in them that contain organelle specific genes; it is thought to be left over from the endosymbiotic that added these organelles to our cellular ancestors.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C-DNA, refers to the structure of the double helices, it is a special form among A-DNA, B-DNA and Z-DNA in which certain species of salt ions are present, the letters in this notation simply represents the form of DNA, whereas the other subscript c in cDNA denotes complementarity.
